I haven't updated this site in a while, and I know I'm kinda late on this, but I'm so happy OLTL & AMC got picked up by Prospect Park to be on the Internet. I'm happy that these amazing legacies get to continue after more than 40 years on the air. I mean how can you not keep these shows going? They have millions of devoted fans, with me being one of them. Some people are content with this while some are not. There's soap fans who still want these shows on TV as most people don't have Internet or simply don't wanna sit in front of their computers for 2 hours. I can relate to this point of view, as I ask myself when was the last time I saw a full length hour show on the Internet? The truth is only once and that was a long time ago. Nowadays I go online mostly for work, although I don't mind watching my favorite shows on net, but truthfully I just like to slouch back on the couch and enjoy some good drama!
However I don't think the battle has ended here, Daytime has extremely loyal fans, and if the fans where able to get someone to believe in these shows and back them up. Then I firmly believe that the fans will keep the shows on the air. Yay Fans! In my opinion having them air on TV and the Internet is the best way to go, also perhaps showing them internationally. There's just lots of options! But cancelling is not one of them!
Anyways I'm grateful this occurred because it allowed so many people to keep the jobs they love. It gives also the possibility of up and coming actors the opportunity to audition & be on one of these shows....(clearing throat) much like myself! Ok, so let's all continue to support One Life To Life & All My Children by watching everyday! Wooohooo! Power to the Fans!
